Maximizing Impact Through Public-Private Partnerships

The work of Educate Texas would not be possible without the support of local, state and national philanthropic, corporate and agency partners. The concept of public-private partnership is the foundation of Educate Texas itself. It was the initial funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation coupled with public funding that established the Texas High School Project in 2004, which is now Educate Texas.

Educate Texas has three key roles in leveraging the strengths of public and private partners to maximize our impact:

  • Connecting and advising: Bringing together public and private partners to coordinate work across Texas
  • Sparking innovation: Channeling promising practices from across the country and scaling them to succeed in Texas
  • Accelerating best practices: Ensuring high-quality, rigorous implementation of programs and practices that work
