COVID and the Commissioners: An Education Conversation

This virtual conversation presented an opportunity to learn how the THECB and TEA are responding to COVID-19 and to discuss their biggest challenges and potential opportunities. This forum also allowed agency leaders to hear how Texas philanthropy is responding to the crisis and explore opportunities for collaboration.

2019 PSJA College for All Conference

Educate Texas is a proud sponsor of the 6th Annual PSJA College for All Conference. The conference shares best practices and innovative designs for providing every single student the opportunity to earn college credit during high school, with an emphasis on earning an Associate Degree or two-years of college while completing core coursework.

2019 CCR School Models Leadership Summit

Over three days in June, participants had the opportunity to participate in multiple sessions and workshops curated by seasoned leaders and designed to support the efforts of CCRSM Leaders implementing the CCRSM Blueprints with fidelity and to maximize impact and success for students across the state.

Rio Grande Valley Contigo State of Education Luncheon

The latest proof of regional transformation was revealed at our Rio Grande Valley State of Education Luncheon presented by RGV FOCUS. Our scorecard, success stories and more are included in our 2018 Annual Report, and the Greater Texas Foundation announced their renewed funding support with a donation of $1.25 million.

2019 CCR School Models Learning Tour

This is an opportunity to hear from CCR School Models campuses; see demonstrations of their curriculum, use of technology, and higher education and industry partnerships; and understand how these innovative school models are preparing students for college and careers.

The El Paso Collaborative for Academic Excellence: Nurturing, Growing & Keeping El Paso’s Talent

This event shared the next exciting iteration of the El Paso Collaborative for Academic Excellence (EPCAE), while honoring its more than 25 year history of regional partnerships and student success. With a steadfast focus on aligning regional strategies and collaborative efforts towards increasing educational attainment and motivating economic development, the EPCAE reaffirmed its commitment to the region to ensure that all students achieve their educational goals and have opportunity to pursue competitive, highly skilled and well-paying jobs in this community.

The Future of Public Education

During the The Texas Tribune's two-day conversation on education policy in Texas, panels addressed an array of topics, including the future of school finance, the importance of early childhood education, accountability, teacher preparation, social and emotional learning, demographic inevitability, the high school-to-college pipeline and the demand for a workforce that can meet the challenges of our booming economy.
