The Future of Rural Texas

The Texas Rural Funder’s Collaborative and the Texas Tribune proudly presented The Future of Rural Texas, a symposium on rural policy and affairs in Texas. This event focused on the future of rural education, health care, natural resource preservation and infrastructure investment, and explore the current political climate in rural Texas and the state’s economic future.

The Opportunity Myth

Educate Texas, the Texas Education Grantmakers Advocacy Consortium, TeachPLUS Texas, and TNTP proudly joined together to host an event focusing on The Opportunity Myth and what it means for schools in Texas. The event featured an overview of the report's findings and a deep dive into promising strategies that could create better school experiences for all students.

2018 PSJA College for All Conference

Educate Texas was a proud sponsor of the 5th Annual PSJA College for All Conference. The conference shared best practices and innovative designs for providing every single student the opportunity to earn at least 12 college hours by high school graduation, with an emphasis on earning an Associate Degree or two-years of college while completing core coursework.

2018 CCR School Models Leadership Summit

Each year, Educate Texas hosts campus leaders from our portfolio of College and Career Readiness school models for a statewide summit of minds and best practices. This year, we convened in Arlington with the theme The Spark That Inspires.
 

RGV FOCUS 2017 Annual Report Unveiling

RGV FOCUS collective impact is measurably improving educational outcomes across our four-county region. In fact, at our 2017 Annual Report unveiling on May 3, it was revealed that students in the Rio Grande Valley actually match or exceed the State of Texas in nine out of 11 educational categories.
