Pathways to Prosperity
Established in 2015, the Texas Pathways to Prosperity network (TxPtP) is a partnership of agencies and organizations that seeks to ensure that more youth complete high school and attain college degrees or credentials for high-demand occupations throughout the state of Texas. TxPtP includes key stakeholders from education, business and government with a long-term goal of creating rigorous, relevant and engaging career pathways for grades 9-14, including middle school, high school, and postsecondary pathways towards associate degrees, certifications, and bachelor degrees. The approach relies on five key factors:
- Rigorous academic and career 9-14 pathways
- Early, sustained career information and advising
- Engaged employers
- Intermediaries
- Committed state leaders and favorable policy environment
The TxPtP leverages best-in-class technical assistance from Educate Texas and other network partners that support our network of agencies and organizations. It is also a part of the national Pathways to Prosperity network, a collaborative initiative of Jobs for the Future and the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
