Proposals Due July 8, 2022

June 22, 2022
Philanthropy Advocates seeks to contract with an experienced advocacy organization to support research dissemination and aligned advocacy.

Focused on promoting policies that support educator effectiveness, Philanthropy Advocates commissioned research to answer the following question:

Research Question:
  • How do state laws and regulations, including those that permit individuals to serve as classroom teachers without preparation or certification, contribute to the supply of classroom teachers and what is the impact of those policies?
To answer this question, we commissioned the University of Houston Education Research Center to conduct research. Their report and findings will be published by August 31, 2022.

See the full Request for Proposal here.

Philanthropy Advocates was formerly known as the Texas Education Grantmakers Advocacy Consortium (TEGAC) until August 2020. Previously-created resources, documents and blog posts mentioning TEGAC are still provided on this website for your reference.
