FAFSA Completion Over Time

Use our dashboard to compare your FAFSA completion rates to other Educational Service Center regions, counties, school districts and campuses in Texas. For the best user experience, please view this dashboard on a desktop computer or large tablet.

The Texas completion rates will always show as bars in the background of the chart. You can use the buttons and filters to select specific school years and student groups of interest.

Please note this report uses the publicly available Department of Education data as published, which differs slightly from the individual student data advisors see on their Counselor Suite portal.

FAFSA COMPLETION DEFINITION: The percentage of high school seniors who complete the FAFSA.

SOURCE: U.S. Department of Education, FAFSA Completion. Estimated high school senior count is based on the TEA October 2021 PEIMS enrollment snapshot.

As of April 2021, the Texas Education Agency has applied new masking rules to ensure confidentiality of student data. The publicly available student enrollment data now provides a range instead of precise values.  For the purposes of this report, data less than 10 will be replaced with 0. All other ranges will be replaced with the closest value within the range, e.g. <100 students will be replaced with 99.

Help us improve these reports! If you have questions or concerns about the data, let us know by emailing txcan@cftexas.org. As a learning organization, we seek to continuously improve our work.
